The second time Siwon saw Kyuhyun was months after the horrible accident in the power plant. Siwon was fully recovered and had made arrangements to check all the wires thoroughly at least once a week. Any sign of wear and tear should be reported and dealt with care, for another accident like the one prior was to be avoided at all costs.
Everything was peaceful again however, all employees could do their work safely and though they lost several colleagues who passed away during the accident, their mind is on the future and not the past.
“Everything is prepared for their arrival,” one of Siwon’s co-workers announced after walking up to the silent man who leaned against the iron railing to look down onto the bottom floor where a large group of youngsters stood waiting for a guide through the power plant.
“I guess it’s about time I make my way down there then,” Siwon replied and gave the male beside him a lopsided smile before climbing down the staircase.
Chances were at least half of the students would finish school and start working at this power plant or one in the neighbourhood. It was best to give them a good look around before deciding what their future profession was to be. As head of the maintenance team he was to give a short introduction about his profession, just like all the other chiefs of the departments.
Dressed in his everyday attire, Siwon fumbled with his gloves and adjusted his helmet. Siwon folded his hands in front of him, looking quite casual despite the sweat that had gathered on his brow while on his way to the large group of young people. Beside him stood the lead scientist of their laboratory, the head of the plant security officers, the lead engineer and equipment, and the best system analyst of their power plant.
Five experts in total, all with their own introduction and short definition of their career. Siwon stood last in line and sighed softly, eyes glancing from the scientist beside him to the man’s son who also stood amongst the students.
Geeks, stand up for your anthem.
So this is what our researches do when they are bored..?
It was pouring heavily when Siwon left the power plant. The dark clouds above cast shadows everywhere, making it that much harder to see where he was running. With his coat clutched in his hands and held over his head, Siwon tried to get home as soon as possible before the thick droplets could soak him to the bone.
The normally sandy roads were filled with small pools of fallen rain, creating muddy tracks and most of all they were slippery. A bad combination for the tall, muscular man who was known for being quite a klutz.
Siwon was jogging, breathing steady as he blinked the rain drops from his eyes. His coat was getting heavy as it absorbed the rain and soon it did little to protect him from all the water that came falling down from the skies. Thoroughly annoyed by this, Siwon lowered his soaked coat and slowed his pace to rub the water from his face.
In that exact moment he stepped into a quite deep puddle that unbalanced him. With a gasp and widened eyes, the tall male tumble forward on his hands and knees, coat falling from his grasp and also landing in the slippery mud beneath him.
“Shit,” the man cursed at his own antics and the dark brown stains on his clothing. Well, at least no one had seen him, right?
